Kimberly Robin Privler grew up in Adams, Massachusetts. She has enjoyed writing since childhood. Her influences include beloved children's authors Grimm’s Brothers, Aesop, Hans Christian Anderson, Mother Goose, Dr. Seuss, Mem Fox, Shel Silverstein, and Don and Audrey Wood. Kim studied Theatre Arts at Berkshire Community College and Music (Vocal Performance) at Los Angeles City College. She graduated from The New School of Radio and Television in Albany, New York with a diploma in Radio and Television Broadcasting.
Kimberly's favorite quote comes from her Nana; "Presentation is EVERYTHING!" The blending of the story and artwork in Princess of Pixieland proves that she never forgot her grandmother's powerful words. She has worked as an actress, singer, songwriter, performer, musician, traffic reporter, radio news anchor, disc jockey, radio production director, voice-over artist, jingle singer, children’s recording artist, publisher, and business owner.
Today, Kimberly lives in Oswego, NY with her dog, Lucy Rose. Princess of Pixieland – The Untold Story of Thumbelina will be her first published children’s book. She is working on several other book and recording projects at this time. Kimberly enjoys visiting schools, libraries, book clubs and fairs, promoting music, creative expression and the joy and importance of reading to children!
